I have known Linda for 40 years, since she first attended Crawcrook Pentecostal Church with my cousin, Angela. Linda received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in accordance with major Pentecostal traditions, which believe that the first evidence of this Holy visitation is accompanied by the speaking with other tongues.

It was many years later when aged 44, she was spending time with me on a private retreat at Rydal Hall Carlisle Diocesan House, that she was talking about her baptism. She explained that at her baptism she had experienced tingling and burning down her arms and hands. Whilst I was recovering from this intelligence, she further said that at any filling of the Holy Spirit, this tingling and burning more than often occurred. She was thrilled to hear my observation that this manifestation or experience is characteristic of a servant of God who was to be used with the compassion of Christ for healings, and that she should explore this calling with great respect and humility for this grace.

Linda helped me in leading a successful workshop at Wells Cathedral, leading in the subject 'Pentecostal Perspectives of Healing - Exploration of Acts, James, Jesus' Commission and Pentecostal Revivals of 1870's onwards.
